1. Made-to-order manufacture
1.1 Garments are manufactured to order following acceptance of the order and receipt of payment. Stock is not held in advance of sale.
1.2 Manufacture ordinarily requires 7 (seven) to 10 (ten) days from acceptance of the order.
1.3 Each garment is subject to final inspection before dispatch. Where a garment does not pass inspection, manufacture is repeated and you will be notified in writing of the revised dispatch date.
2. Delivery within the Republic of South Africa
2.1 Following dispatch, delivery within the Republic of South Africa ordinarily requires a further 2 (two) to 4 (four) days.
2.2 Delivery is effected by third-party couriers. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout and are payable in addition to the purchase price.
2.3 A confirmation containing tracking particulars is issued upon dispatch.
3. International delivery
3.1 Trapsuutjie delivers to addresses outside the Republic of South Africa.
3.2 Transit periods vary by destination, by carrier and by the customs procedures of the destination country, and are not capable of accurate estimation. Any period indicated at checkout is an estimate only.
3.3 You are the importer of record. All import duties, value-added or sales taxes, customs charges, brokerage fees and other levies imposed by the authorities of the destination country are for your account and are payable by you upon or before delivery. Such charges are levied by the destination country and not by Trapsuutjie, are not included in the price or delivery charge, and are not refundable by Trapsuutjie.
3.4 Where a parcel is refused, abandoned or returned to Trapsuutjie by reason of non-payment of such charges, or by reason of the customer's failure to comply with the import requirements of the destination country, the cost of return carriage and any charges levied shall be for your account and may be deducted from any amount otherwise refundable.
3.5 It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that the goods may lawfully be imported into the destination country.
4. Delivery periods are estimates
4.1 All periods stated in this Policy and at checkout are estimates and are not guaranteed.
4.2 Trapsuutjie shall not be liable for delay arising from the act, omission or performance of any carrier, from customs or postal processing, from incorrect or incomplete delivery information supplied by you, or from any cause beyond its reasonable control as contemplated in clause 18 of the Terms and Conditions.
4.3 Where a delay is material and within our knowledge, we will notify you in writing.
5. Delivery information
5.1 You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the delivery address and contact details supplied at the time of purchase.
5.2 Trapsuutjie accepts no liability for delay, misdelivery, loss or additional cost arising from incorrect, incomplete or outdated delivery information.
5.3 Where an order has not yet been dispatched, requests to amend the delivery address must be submitted in writing to steven.trapsuutjie.linen@gmail.com and will be accommodated where reasonably possible.
6. Risk and title
6.1 Risk in and title to the goods passes to you upon delivery to you or to any person at the delivery address who accepts delivery on your behalf.
6.2 Where you or your agent directs the carrier to leave a parcel unattended, or authorises delivery to a location other than the delivery address, risk passes upon delivery in accordance with that instruction.
7. Parcels damaged in transit or not received
7.1 Where the outer packaging of a parcel appears damaged on arrival, you should record that fact with the carrier at the point of delivery.
7.2 Damage in transit must be reported in writing to steven.trapsuutjie.linen@gmail.com within 48 (forty-eight) hours of delivery, together with photographs of the outer packaging and of the garment.
7.3 Any other matter relating to delivery, including non-receipt of a parcel recorded as delivered, must be reported in writing within 5 (five) days of the recorded delivery date.
7.4 The periods in clauses 7.2 and 7.3 apply to claims concerning carriage and the condition of the parcel. They do not apply to claims concerning defects in manufacture, which are governed by the Returns and Exchanges Policy and by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, and nothing in this clause limits or excludes any right conferred by that Act.
8. Delivery charges
8.1 Delivery charges are calculated at checkout on the basis of destination and are not refundable, save that:
(a) where an order is cancelled by Trapsuutjie before dispatch, any delivery charge paid is refunded in full; and
(b) where goods are found to be defective or incorrectly supplied, the delivery charge originally paid is refunded together with the purchase price.
8.2 Return carriage in respect of defective or incorrectly supplied goods is dealt with in the Returns and Exchanges Policy.
